Volunteering option is an excellent opportunity to help in the community while learning about local culture, practices and improving Spanish or Portuguese Language

Spending extended time in a foreign country tends to open your eyes wider when you look at the world. You may be more thoughtful about your own culture and what that culture has to offer you. You will be more likely to have increased respect for other cultures and appreciate the differences be tween cultures, and this openness to different approaches makes you better problem solvers and a team players.

Also, you will gain more self-confidence when you live and study in a foreign country, and increase your independence and maturity.

You must go for a minimum of four weeks (accept for a few select programs with varying minimum durations...check above) but can extend the position for as many weeks as you want. The longer you are able to participate, the more you will gain and the more you will contribute to the society.

Volunteering is not just the giving of ones time to do some good. Your volunteer fees are used to pay for your lodging and food, cover language program tuition, organize the volunteer project and donate to the infrastructure of the community.
