Our volunteer projects offer a mix of one term of teaching in the Besisahar and Gorkha region of Nepal, three weeks of independent travel, and an adventure week of trekking in the Himalayas. As part of a group of volunteers, you will live and work within a rural community, experiencing real cultural immersion. As part of the programme you will start with an orientation course covering health & safety, a Nepali language course, history of the region and teaching techniques to get you ready for the classroom. There will be 24 hour in-country support from our local representatives for the duration of your time with AV.
